Film | Mute swan pair on 10 eggs | Discover wildlife

The swan pair now have a clutch of 10 eggs. Watch as the male settles down to incubate.
Mute swans are the most common of swan species here on mainland Britain and are easy to recognise by their orange bills which have a large black 'knob' at the base. They can have large clutches of eggs and the eggs have very hard shells - tough enough to take the weight of this clumsy male!
