Tawny owls Luna and Bomber are showing signs they will be raising chicks in Beech Stump nest

Luna & Bomber have nested in Beech Stump for four years running and are now getting ready for a new clutch of eggs. The pair returned to Beech stump in December to secure the nest again and Luna has been roosting in here for two months now. Now visits from Bomber are increasing, and here Luna is seen calling for him. Bomber responds immediately and then waits to be invited in before entering and scraping out a shallow depression ready for their eggs. Tawny owls nest early, so this is a sign that the pair are getting ready for new arrivals. Keep an eye on my live cams for the first egg:
