Film | Sleepy stoat takes 17 hour nap | Discover wildlife

Stoats need sleep a lot, but they're so wriggly. I set my cameras to record this one for 17 hours to see what it did. Stoats, like many in the weasel family are primarily crepuscular, meaning they are most active during dawn and dusk. During the day, they often rest in well-hidden dens underground, staying out of sight from potential predators and conserving energy for their active periods.
