Barn owl chicks Lucky & Uno have several tactics to help them cool off in the summer heat. Watch them open their beaks and draw in cool air (a technique called 'Gular fluttering' not dissimilar to how dogs pant). They also move as little as possible, even lying flat against the nest floor.
